Michele Mullen – Founder

Michele Mullen has been immersed in the food industry for 25+ years, leading her name to be synonymous with “food-guru” amongst her business colleagues. Michele started her Career in the industry selling ingredients as a food broker and then transitioned into a contract manufacturer for 22 years. This experience alone has given her a distinct ability to anticipate customer’s needs. This, coupled with her extensive knowledge, has helped foster Michele’s reputation as a savvy business professional. Her valuable experience has given her the unique skill to recognize a need in the food industry marketplace for a multi-purpose service provider. This “need” is the very foundation for what birthed SOS as a groundbreaking company, providing a valuable service with an expertise all under one roof. By doing so she has removed the need for SOS customers to hire additional people. SOS Co-Packing Solution’s simple vision keeps this quote in the mission statement, “there is always a solution”.  Having traveled the world and speaking two languages, Michele has acquired the experience to mingle with people from various backgrounds exposing her to many cultures and flavorful foods. Her BA in Graphics Arts/Visual Communications has integrated itself to aid her in creating and launching fresh ideas for both the customer and SOS.

Priscilla Tafoya - Operations

Priscilla Tafoya learned to enjoy and thrive off a demanding and fast paced work environment when she started in the food industry 10 years ago as a high-speed customer service representative at a food manufacturing plant in Vernon, CA.  Little did she know she was priming herself to become a valuable asset for SOS and the benefit of its customer’s. Being a Los Angeles native that speaks 2 languages, Priscilla possesses an undeniable talent for creating and finding a solution for any project that come’s her way.  With Priscilla’s help, SOS has evolved into an avenue in which she can channel creative energy and passions by assisting SOS customers with the development of their products from inception to completion. Priscilla understands that SOS depends on its customers as much as its customers depend on SOS. And it is this insight that will continue to perpetuate the growth and success of both SOS and customers alike.

Fun Fact: Priscilla is a Harry Potter trivia champ.


Leticia Espejo – Purchasing

Leticia Espejo joined the SOS team in 2017 and has proven time and time again what an asset she is to SOS.  Leticia has minimized COGs by streamlining inventory levels, specializing in optimal solutions sourcing of ingredients and packaging. Leticia’s attention to detail allows her to manage all regulatory documentation needed to qualify domestic and foreign suppliers. Leticia is a Los Angeles native with strong roots in the Mexican Cuisine and speaks 2 languages. She continues her family tradition of cooking with her 2 daughters and son.

Felix Mallari – Accounting

Felix Mallari brings over 30+ years of experience to the SOSCPS accounting department. Before devoting his work fulltime to SOSCPS. Felix served as an accountant at a steel mill in Los Angeles. He is best at adapting seamlessly to a constant evolving accounting process. Outside of SOSCPS, Felix’s love for travel allows him to be a true foodie at heart and SOSCPS resident R&D taster.
